Rogers Apple Picking

This past weekend was a beautiful introduction to Fall. The weather was beautiful and just right for apple picking. We packed up the family and headed to "POME ON THE RANGE" orchard in Kansas. Had a wonderful time picking apples and enjoying the day.

Caleb's Birthday Weekend

On the weekend of the 17th we had five of Paul's siblings come up to our house to celebrate Caleb's 20th birthday. Cooked out that evening and had peach crisp. It was great.

We also had an old tree that was falling apart so we burned it....pretty cool to watch.

A Weekend With Michael

My brother is currently out in Oklahoma doing some training for his job in the Air Force. A week ago he decided to drive up for a long weekend and hang out with us and the Rogers. He arrived Friday night and stayed till Monday. We had a really good time hanging out.

Our 2nd Anniversary

August was a very busy month. We headed down to Kansas City for a week, went to Florida for three weeks, back to Kansas City for a week, and then finally back home after five weeks away. Its nice to be at our little house in the country. The weather is turning toward fall and all the cozy things that go with it.....apple picking, pumpkins, pies, apple crisp and coffee at our favorite neighbors house, and lovely colors in the woods.

Now that we are settled into our routine I have a bit of time to focus on my blogging. I have a bunch of blogs lined up but I want to start with our anniversary. It was on the 15th of August and we celebrated while in Florida. We headed out to Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island and had a lovely dinner and evening on the beach.
